Subject: pnp modem on 4.0

I'm trying to set up a pnp modem using FreeBSD 4.0 (built 2/7/99). I
can see the modem at the boot prompt with pnpscan -v, but it is not
detected during boot when pnp devices are scanned. pnpinfo at the
returns nothing.
I inserted the device id into /usr/src/sys/i386/isa/sio.c in the
siopnp_ids struct, and in the /usr/src/sys/boot/common/pnpdata file,
then rebuilt and rebooted. No change.
It seems that I would need to configure it with the pnp command, but I
can't find any info on where to put it, or what options to use.

Thanks,

Jerry
