You mean the display is set to go blank after a set period by the
power management in BIOS?

You are not talking about the blank or green screen saver in 2.2.5,
are you?

There was a similar report in the past.  It was about a ET-6000 based
video card, I think...

At that time it was considered a BIOS problem, as the power management
BIOS shouldn't destroy video memory contents including font data.
