The problem is that when I try to start = smtp in inetd.conf it tells me all this stuff about it not being able to = create the smtp socket because it's in use or something.. But it starts = the server in some form, when I telnet to the server through the smtp = port it tells me the servername and everything, but when I type anything = and send it a command it replies with a: 502 unimplemented (#5.5.1) Has anybody ever had this problem? I got a server running 4.5.  The = problem is=20 that when I try to start smtp in inetd.conf it tells me all this stuff = about it=20 not being able to create the smtp socket because it's in use or=20 something..  But it starts the server in some form, when I telnet = to the=20 server through the smtp port it tells me the servername and everything, = but when=20 I type anything and send it a command it replies with a:
