The machine is named framis.newbie-newbie.com mail sent to idiotnewbie@framis.newbie-newbie,com works correctly, and the DNS MX record is pointing at framis.newbie-newbie.com correctly: However, mail sent to idiotnewbie@newbie-newbie.com is rejected ... Sendmail is version 8.9.3 on a 3.5-stable release I am certain that I need to add an authority or alias record somewhere to tell the system that it is ALSO newbie-newbie.com for purposes of SMTP, but what to add and where to add it eludes me..
