In a sure sign that trying to work on two totally unrelated releases is 
a bad sign:  I forgot to announce the start of the doc/ slush, which 
should have started yesterday.

The idea is to postpone any non-essential commits to the doc/ tree until
it's tagged for 5.2-RELEASE (this tagging is currently scheduled for
Friday, 12 December); this gives translation teams time to finish off 
their work.

This is not a hard freeze (as is the case in src/ and ports/).  Just 
use your best judgement.
