https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D231384 Bug ID: 231384 Summary: Samba-4.8.5 destroys time machine partitions Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: se@FreeBSD.org I just lost 1 years worth of Time Machine backups after upgrading Samba from 4.8.4_1 to 4.8.5. The macOS "sparse bundle" was damaged and could no longer= be accessed. On each attempt to create a fresh sparse bundle to start over with the back= ups, the backup process was aborted after writing some 10 GB (of 200 GB), leavin= g a corrupt sparse bundle behind. After going back to 4.8.4_1 the backups have been working again for several days now. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
