I'm guessing you're talking about missing plist files, yes you can =)

I use tinderbox from http://tinderbox.marcuscom.com/

or if you don't want to set up a tinderbox you can always use 
ports/devel/porttools to test, it is not as thorough as tinderbox
but it does a good job.
