I setup pppd on my FreeBSD 3.0-R box, but when it finishes dialing and setting up the routes, it doesn't waork. When I try to 'ping' someone (ICMP), it just sits there. I can see that its sending something out to the modem, but I'm not getting a response. I think this has something to do with the routing tables, but i looked at 'netstat -r' and it seems ok. The only thing is that the IP I specified in /etc/ppp/options is of the dialup server, and I'm not sure if it can act as a gateway. I've tried talking to my ISP, but the tec support staff aren't sure what UNIX is, so obviously don't know how to setup pppd. Thanks in advance. -- Dima Dorfman Microsoft: How long do you want to wait today? To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
