hello

we had her some problems with xterm - some people were able to run xterms -
other ones not - they got the message:

unable to find usable termcap entry

(this comes from main.c of xterm)

we had to look a long time before we've found the problem - the homedir of the
person has to be

	-*******x (*may be everything)

this is only needed for FreeBSD (not for Dec OSF/1 or Linux) - after changing
this the problem went away - should this be so (i don't think so) - and why
this is so ? - do you have any ideas ?

here some more description of our setup:

FreeBSD-950412-SNAP - homedir's mounted via nfs (via amd) - passwd etc. via
nis/yp - if you leke to know more please mail to me

hope this helps - t
