Hello experts

Has anyone here run the S3 Trio 64V2/DX video card (1 MB) at better than
640x480 resolution? I'm using the s3 server. Though the config script
says it can run at 1024x768 resolution at 8bbp, on invoking xinit it
always removes 1024x768 and 800x600 from the mode settings. Any ideas as
to why?

I'm running 2.2.5-release, the x11 that was shipped with that (3.2 I
think...)

thanks
