Check out the wormcontrol(8) utility.  Specifically, look at example
scripts in /usr/share/examples/worm.  Using these example scripts and
the team(1) and mkisofs(1) utilities, I am able to burn data CDs fine
with my (Creative 24-4-2) ATAPI CD-RW.  I've never gotten audio to
work quite right, though.
