Basically I would like FreeBSD (rel4.1.1) to shutdown the computer using halt -p (is that even the correct arguement?!) without having to press the power button. The generic kernel already has "device apm0" set up so.. I have no idea. Thanks

Try just "device apm", it works fine on my A7V.
