I've seen reports of this after the signal-patches went in. However, I've not yet seen anybody be screwed if they had a correctly installed machine (ie, all of the cases were resolvable). If the kernel and the LKM need to be in sync WRT those patches, it should AFAIK be fine. Eivind.
