KDE and GNOME appear to have significant problems in their pkg-plist files that are causing hundreds of ports to be left with extra directories after deinstallation. These directories presumably need to be listed in the pkg-plist where they are created. For example, KDE includes (at least the following) ================================================================ list of extra files and directories in /usr/local lib/perl5 extra lib/kde3 extra share/apps extra share/autostart extra share/config extra share/icons extra share/services extra share/servicetypes extra share/applnk extra (See e.g. http://bento.freebsd.org/errorlogs/i386-5-latest-logs/kdeutils-3.0.4_1.log ) And GNOME includes (at least) ================================================================ list of extra files and directories in /usr/X11R6 share/dict extra share/emacs extra share/java extra share/misc extra share/nls extra share/sgml extra share/skel extra share/xml extra man/de.ISO8859-1 extra man/en.ISO8859-1 extra etc/pam.d extra sbin extra Can anyone help in tracking these down?
