By the way, once you get any error like the below, junk the CD.  It's
ruined.  Take another blank one out of the box.  You might be happier
trying whatever procedure you want with the -dummy flag of cdrecord.

Never, ever try and interrupt any cdrecord process, not even a dummy
process.
