Port's Makefile should be modified to fetch and check distfile for the user. Doing my own research for=20 distfile availability I found that sources can be downloaded from BOINC GitHub page (see Tags/client_release* branches): https://github.com/BOINC/boinc Downloading can be done by using USE_GITHUB=3Dyes and GH_* keywords.
