This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0029_01BD849A.554299A0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi All! I have a small problem here ;-) And, I hope I'm posting this to the right group......... FreeBSD 2.2.2, P-166, 64 MB RAM, 4.3 GB SCSI. I have a program wrtten in Perl 5 and it will not under Perl 4. e.g. if i say=20 #perl thisprogram It will not work at all (the program uses POSIX and cgi-lib.pl) but.....if i do this... #/usr/local/bin/perl thisprogram it works great! I'm trying to use this cgi from a web page, (Apache 1.2) The question is how do I use the Perl 5 engine from a web page? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ken. ------=_NextPart_000_0029_01BD849A.554299A0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD W3 HTML//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> <META content=3Dtext/html;charset=3Diso-8859-1 = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D'"MSHTML 4.71.1712.3"' name=3DGENERATOR> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>Hi All!</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2> I have a small = problem here=20 ;-)</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2></FONT><FONT size=3D2>And, I hope = I'm posting this=20 to the right group.........</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>FreeBSD 2.2.2, P-166, 64 MB RAM, 4.3 = GB=20 SCSI.</FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>I have a program wrtten in Perl 5 = and it will=20 not under Perl 4.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>e.g. if i say </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>#perl thisprogram</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>It will not work at all (the program = uses POSIX=20 and cgi-lib.pl)</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>but.....if i do this...</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2></FONT><FONT = size=3D2>#/usr/local/bin/perl=20 thisprogram</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>it works great!</FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2></FONT><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>I'm trying to = use this cgi=20 from a web page, (Apache 1.2)</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>The question is how do I use the Perl 5 engine from = a web=20 page?</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>Any help would be appreciated.</FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>Thanks,</FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2></FONT><FONT color=3D#000000 = size=3D2> =20 Ken.</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV></BODY></HTML> ------=_NextPart_000_0029_01BD849A.554299A0-- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
