You can fix this temporarily if you add the line

   WRKSRC=  ${WRKDIR}/Numeric-${PORTVERSION}

to Makefile, e.g. just before

   .include <bsd.port.pre.mk>

in line 28. I sent a mail to the maintainer yesterday.
