I guess this is where we disagree.  If one is taking on the
responsibility to do this kind of work, I think we should stay out of
their way, as they know where they are headed with the work.

But I'm not a Core member, so my opinions doesn't matter compared to
yours in other's eyes when you're hell bent to get rid of maintainership.
