Put this mapping in ~/.Xdefaults:

XTerm*VT100*translations: #override \
        <KeyPress>F6 : set-reverse-video(toggle)

Then:

$ xrdb -load $HOME/.Xdefaults

Then press F6 to get a clearer sysinstall.
