The port should at least simplify basic testing.  I'm not actually sure
how you would use the port for a hetergenious systems like bento, but
there's probably a way (maybe using the port for individual installs on
the nodes and linking in an NFS mounted configuration directory
($SGE_ROOT/default by default)).
