On the same note, has anyone else had problems with IBM Deskstar drives
under FreeBSD or OpenBSD? OpenBSD would hang on a soft reboot when
using these drives (I tried 2 of them), and FreeBSD wouldn't even boot
after the install with it. I switched to Western Digital drives, and
the problem vanished.

Subject: Hardware Compatibility Question.

Hello,

I ordered a custom machine with it's accessories after asking the dealer
about it's compatibiliy with FreeBSD.
I knew later from others, that not all the part I got will support BSD.
If you can help me with just mentioning
the name of the device that is not compatible I will be thankful.

Note: I will be using FreeBSD 4.4

regards,
