Does anyone see reason to have an /incoming directory for uploads? For the past 2 days I've seen my server slow down and I looked at the logs and someone has been uploading commercial software from what looks to be off a cd-rom and advertising it to their friends. At one point, we had 60 ftp connections from people downloading it. I see no reason to have the incoming directory but most people seem to have one. Will their be any problems if I were to delete it? If anyone has also had someone using their site for this illegal use, what actions did you take (like e-mail their ISP or the software companies etc..), if any?
