/usr/ports/distfile/rpm is used by the linux_base-5.2 and
linux_devel-5.2 ports. These ports make sure the RPM database is under
/compat/linux so that the Linux native rpm can use it too. So, to query
that database specify...

	--root /compat/linux --dbpath /var/lib/rpm

...on the commandline. Alternatively run /compat/linux/rpm.

Relax. rpm is different and has it's own quirks, but it's not that bad.
