The "appropriate person" is not here.  This is a volunteer supported
mailing list for FreeBSD, not Win98.  Call Microsoft.

My advice would be:
1. Get rid of Win98
2. Get a better CDROM
Unix systems measure "uptime" in years, Winblows measures it in minutes.
