Start with the Squid 3.4 port and attempt to upgrade it to Squid 3.5?

I notice that the position of squid port maintainer is currently vacant,
which probably explains why squid35 is not in ports at the moment.
Squid is quite an important port to be left maintainer-less, so I'm sure
you'ld be welcomed with open arms should you volunteer...
