We have one of our FreeBSD machines designated as the backup machine. This machine has a 7 gig drive that holds all the backups (both full and incremental) for 1 week. All the other FreeBSD machines are setup to do their backups, using BRU, and FTP them to the backup machine. A full backup of all our machines combined is a little over 4 gig. This makes the network kind of slow but we schedule the backups between 3 and 5 a.m. to minimise the impact. We then use BRU to backup the backup files to tape.
