You should also see a da[0-9]+ device appear at about the same time the umass0 mass storage device connects: # umass0: detached # umass0: USB Flash Disk, rev 2.00/2.00, addr 2 # da0: Removable Direct Access SCSI-2 device # da0: 40.000MB/s transfers # da0: 250MB (512000 512 byte sectors: 64H 32S/T 250C) Then you can look in /dev for da0* devices. If the disk has partitions, they will appear automatically as da0s1, da0s2, etc. - Giorgos
