Sounds reasonable, but I can´t confirm it. I did an ´ifconfig -a´ and a 'netstat -r' immediately before the 'ifconfig isp0 link1 ....' in rc.isdn and until isp0 gets configured there's definitely no route concerning isp0 nor is isp0 already configured. It's more or less a flaw because isp0 gets configured right after all, but I wanted to report it at least. Thanks to all who have answered!
