The big monster really is the mute button of all things... if the mouse
passes over the mute button its guaranteed to lock up. Other problems are
more random, sometimes they lock up sometimes they dont. Of course it
could be that those other random times are randomly interacting with the
area the mute button is in... never thought of that. The usual behavior is
that the mute iconbuttonthing blanks, the mouse it frozen over it, and all
console activity stops except the tv, which is always on the wrong channel
of course.

oh and the cards are matrox g200 and mystique, mystique being the one the
tv is on, and the same card the tuner has played nice with for 2 years
