I thought about the beta24 -> beta26 changes in the libc code, and looked
at diffs.. The only interesting thing was skeleton support for IPV6
addresses (a new gethostbyname2() function) and some Linux portability..
There was little point in disturbing the libc code for no gain, so I'll
leave it alone.

Perhaps the man pages need an update, but I'm too tired at the moment.
