Vinum just stopped working crashing every time I tried to rm a large number of files with an error message that I was trying to free a node that was already free. After a number of make worlds, the last very carefully done according to the book, I regained my confidence to the point where I put the server back in service but, with one reservation. On running fsck on a newly formated partition (newfs -v) the end report indicates 1 file and everything ok. When I run fsck after adding files, the end report indicates: ** Phase 5 - Check Cyl groups BLK(S) MISSING IN BIT MAPS SALVAGE? even though there have been no previous error messages. Answering yes jostles the drives a bit and then reports that the everything is clean. I know that isn't enough info to diagnose a problem, if one exists, but I seem to recall in some post when I first set this up that some utilities would not report correctly. Is this one of them? The drive has been running for several days now without an evident problem.
