It can be fixed temporarily by disabling moused and using xorg to control mouse movements (use psm0 instead of sysmouse). There is an active discussion on the X11 list to diagnose and solve the problem. I've seem the other symptoms you describe as well, but so far they have not been mentioned. I'd suggest following up with a post to that list. Frank
