Chortle.

There's a "validate" target in the standard DocBook Makefile now, so you
can do

    % cd /path/to/doc/en/handbook
    % make DOC_PREFIX=../.. validate
    nsgmls -s ...

and if you get no other output then it's valid SGML.  This is a little
less resource intensive than having to run Jade.
