This assumes you're going to use a msdos diskette,  and not, say, a Linux
ext2fs (or is it still minix?) diskette, or some other format of diskette.
(never used any diskettes on my FreeBSD boxen... never seen the need) :)

I think the general thought is that it's not something that people are likely
to use often, and if it were added, it would mean allowing for msdos 
diskettes, linux ones, etc.
