Having hacked at it a little more, all which is needed to make it work
is to update the port to the "0.2DrCox" release.=20

In Makefile:
        DISTNAME=3D       ${PORTNAME}-0.2DrCox

In distinfo:
        SHA256 (xmms2-0.2DrCox.tar.bz2) =3D 8827ef77829e37212b0e09fa577d914=
7cb34a7fbc1cf8c1df6f01894cef78d75
        MD5 (xmms2-0.2DrCox.tar.bz2) =3D b93b26d7c71c686595ad4bf1e212e95d
        SIZE () =3D 951819

Job done.=20
