I presume gfortran45 (part of lang/gcc45) uses binutils from ports, which at present is at binutils-2.20.1_3. Is this version still not good enough? This article http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/articles/custom-gcc/article.html also mentions adjusting (creating) /etc/libmap.conf Do I need to do this? Sorry if I'm talking nonsense. I probably don't understand what the problem is exactly. many thanks anton -- Anton Shterenlikht Room 2.6, Queen's Building Mech Eng Dept Bristol University University Walk, Bristol BS8 1TR, UK Tel: +44 (0)117 331 5944 Fax: +44 (0)117 929 4423
