Yes, 64 megs.  I'm, happily, not pursuing this anymore since the cdrom 
drive turned out to be bootable after all.  I think the diskette drive is 
sick, it's certainly old, rarely used, Paris air is filthy, and the drive 
just couldn't read the innermost tracks.
