Unfortunately, I just saw this problem _again_ on my 5.3-BETA1 system,
which was supposedly branched after the patches were applied to
6.0-CURRENT. This time, I was unable to bring the interface back up (using
ifconfig sk0 down; ifconfig sk0 up). It required a reboot.

FreeBSD belle.0lsen.net 5.3-BETA1 FreeBSD 5.3-BETA1 #5: Wed Aug 25 20:02:06
PDT 2004 root@belle.0lsen.net:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386

I was running the file sharing utility gtk-gnutella when it happened as
well as VNC.
