>Description:
First problem:
Machine will reboot itself without warning. No messages appear in /var/log/messages.
Happens more than once a day. Exact same hardware ran for previous year (problem free)
under Netware 3.12.

Second problem:
If any ext2fs disks are mounted, /sbin/reboot fails to umount all disks and gives up
leaving all disks dirty the next boot. If I "umount -t ext2fs -a" then "reboot" the
shutdown sequence works properly.

Also, this machine has exactly 48megs of memory in it. The boot disk did freeze and the
software solution in the errata didn't work. I had to physically remove the excess memeory
for the install. After the install completed I replaced the memeory. Could it be that
the 48meg problem is not just limited to the install?

Other info:
AMD K5 CPU @ 75mhz, 48meg ram, 2 1gig IDE drives (where root partition, /usr are in ufs format).
2 SCSI drives (2gig and 150meg) formated ext2fs (Had to use a Linux boot floppy for this. FreeBSD failed to partition
the drives for even native ufs). SCSI controller AHA1520, NIC: pci ne2000 compatible, video 8bit mono adapter.
Main use: Samba suite.
