Ok, I'll try it without that.

Hmm.  Looking at the build log, it looks like it unpacked, patched, and
built stlport, freetype, and zib; then there's 'Building project =
MathMLDTD'.
(Which appears to just be three file copies.) and then 'Building project
stlport', which starts out with the attempt to apply the patches again.

If I get some free cycles, I'll try to dig around in the dmake cruft and
figure out what's going on.

Nope, I'm being fairly paranoid and completely removing the work dir
between attempts.

Hmm.  I did have that happen; but not consistantly - cleaning out work
and starting again got past it.
