The last thing I would consider myself is an "old guard" unix admin, I've only been any sort of admin for about 4 years. However, the ability to log in (via SSH) to a remote server and use vi to change a server's configuration without having to enable a set of web CGI scripts with root access is great. I for one don't 100% trust web-based configuration tools for remote servers. - On the other hand, I don't use "vi" to add users, I use the "pw" command. <>< ============================================================= ><> Michael Doyle email: relyod@cooperationireland.org Network Administrator personal email: relyod@indigo.ie Co-operation Ireland http://www.cooperationireland.org/ Phone: +353-1-661 0588 Fax: +353-1-661 8456 ********************************************************************* To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-chat" in the body of the message
