And when devfs is ready to switch to, I'll cease to oppose it as a
default there.  Do you run your -current box strictly off of DEVFS
now?  If not, why not?  Could it perhaps be that there are still too
many gotchas and evolving mechanisms there to make it a very safe bet
for anyone right now in -current? :)
