Hi, Stefan:=0A=A0=0AI=A0was wondering about the Status for the intel Compil=
er "icc V. 10 " , there are any news about it?=0A=A0=0AI am into a cluster =
(HPC) project for this Year (2009), and am trying to install FreeBSD 7 or 6=
.4 at least, but one requierement for the Physics and Math Guys is the Inte=
l Compiler.=0A=A0=0AThanks in advance on this.=0A=A0=0AEric De La Cruz Lugo=

u still interested in updating the port? Maybe you'd=0A> > even be interest=
ed in becoming its maintainer?=0A> =0A> The patch provided is not up to dat=
e and also has limitations in terms=0A> of the icc functionality provided. =
Recent discussions I've had with=0A> intel sales representatives have sugge=
sted that they maybe more=0A> inclined to support icc on FreeBSD directly i=
n the future. This gave=0A> me the impression that maybe someone else withi=
n the FreeBSD community=0A> must be in discussions with Intel.=0A> =0A> I a=
m rather busy at the moment but will try to find time later this=0A> week t=
o reevaluate icc on FreeBSD. I currently use icc9.1 on FreeBSD=0A> for prof=
iling and optimization of code but am interested in using it=0A> more widel=
y in the future.=0A=0A=0A
