Hi there,

I have samba running on Freebsd 4.5. I used the samba from the ports collection.

I used security=server and defined the NT server.

I can access shares that have users specified as valid users
but when I use a group as valid user it says access denied.
The group has RW access

[folder]
path = /usr/groupfolder
public = no
writeable = yes
valid users = @mygroup
create mask = 0664
directory mask = 0774
group = +mygroup

I also can't connect to printers through Samba.
It says unable to connect,Access denied.
When I use the lpr command from my unix box it works fine

[global]
printing = bsd
printcap name = /etc/printcap
load printers = yes
print command = lpr -r -s -P %p %s

[printers]
browseable = no
printable = yes
#is this correct or does it have to be
#the same as in /etc/printcap
path = /var/spool/samba
public = yes
printable = yes
writeable = no

Any ideas?

Guy
