So this patch turns the previously not working IBM770Z and NEC into a
working system, and no other changes? And backing it out turns them
back into non-working machines? Weird. I'd love to understand why
this fixes things, since I don't have this problem on my vaio which
has a pci cardbus/pccard bridge as well...
