He could be wanting someone focused on syntactic minutiea... 

or maybe just someone to get it all up and workin quickly with minimum
burps and tech calls and grief from the guy assigned the job..  Figuring
if you know fbsd you probably also know (fill in the blanks if you have a
clue) 

and should also be familiar with (you read the post) such that maybe you
have a shot at gettin the issue together and releaving the pressure
currently in place.. and God help anyone streamline stuff to lighten the
load!..

Nah ur right - syntactic games were prolly the goal.
