I have been very happy with the IBM Travan I use. Got it on sale from their website, IDE model, about $200 I think. The tapes are expensive, but if you rotate backup tapes this isn't much of a problem. The hardware is a Seagate mechanism inside, and I tar onto it frequently with no problems. This is a budget solution, so your mileage may vary. ----- Original Message ----- From: "moline chris" <zoobzca@yahoo.com> To: <freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG> Sent: Wednesday, March 14, 2001 2:42 PM Subject: Buying a tape drive > Hi.
