* Benjamin Ossei <ben@cahostnet.net> [20010208 20:43]: writing on the subje=
ct 'Bind files'
Benjamin> When you install BIND does it install any of the files mentioned =
such as named.conf in /etc/? I'm not quite sure if my installation is work=
ing. How can I check to see if BIND is installed?

Okay, now it is time you wrapped up. Your box must be back up?? ;-)

the command named -v will tell you the version of bind you're running.
If you installed Bind 8.2.3 it will have the binary installed in
/usr/sbin.
If you installed bind 9.x the binary is in /usr/local/sbin.

you can do=20
locate in/bind | less
