Note you can now build a MeshAP by doing something like:

ifconfig wlan create wlandev ath0 wlanmode mesh
ifconfig wlan create wlandev ath0 wlanmode ap
ifconfig bridge create
ifconfig bridge0 addm wlan0 addm wlan1

(+more config stuff...).  Or you can use two devices if the driver 
doesn't support multi-bss.

Similarly you can bridge mesh+wired to build a MeshPortal (modulo the 
mesh protocol bits).
